| Personal History | Alicia was born in 2369 in Seville, Spain, Earth, to Thomas and Mercedes Santos. Her father Thomas is a civilian architect specializing in advanced structural designs while her mother Mercedes is a botanist who works with Federation agricultural programs. Her upbringing combined discipline and creativity. From her father she learned the value of structural logic and problem solving while from her mother she inherited patience and an appreciation for subtle and careful work. Alicia showed early promise in mechanical and technical understanding, often tinkering with small machines and computers during her adolescence. Starfleet Academy became the natural choice for her career, and she enrolled in 2388 at age 18. Though neither parent had direct ties to Starfleet they encouraged her curiosity and supported her decision to apply to Starfleet Academy at age 18. She remains close to her family, keeping in regular contact via subspace when her duties allow. |
